‘Don’t sweat about the future and strengthen your pension’ – that’s the message for this year’s Pension Attention Campaign, which launches today (Friday, 5 September) and runs up until 27 October 2025.

Pension Attention, which LPPA is proud to support, is an annual coordinated industry campaign led by the Association of British Insurers (ABI) and Pensions UK (previously PLSA – the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association). It aims to boost pensions awareness by inspiring the nation to ‘pay their pension some attention’.

The theme of this year’s campaign is fitness and the idea of strengthening your pension to become financially fit for retirement by following three simple steps (which we can help you with):

Three strength-building steps

  1. Stretch your mind back to find any lost pension savings – you can visit the LPPA Lost pension page to get started.
  2. Check your form by logging into your pension account to see how much you’ve got – you can access your latest details through your annual benefit statement (ABS) on PensionPoint, your secure online portal.
  3. Work out how much you might need for the future – you can use the online calculators on PensionPoint to help you work out how much pension you’re likely to get when you retire. It’s worth getting some financial advice to make sure this meets your needs too.

TV star, Ross Kemp, is leading the charge by calling on UK savers to ‘gain pounds’ for their future retirement savings. Watch his latest financial fitness workout on YouTube.
