LPPA’s CEO presented with OBE

We’re proud to announce that LPPA’s Chief Executive Officer, Jo Darbyshire, has been awarded an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE).

Jo attended an investiture yesterday (Tuesday 4 November) at Windsor Castle where she was presented with the prestigious honour by King Charles. It follows Jo receiving the OBE in the King’s Birthday Honours List in June earlier this year.

The OBE has been awarded in recognition of the voluntary campaign work Jo has done to drive leasehold reform. Jo has undertaken this work voluntarily in her spare time, alongside her two co-founders, Katie Kendrick and Cath Williams, of the campaign group, National Leasehold Campaign (NLC).

Jo said: ‘It’s an absolute honour to be awarded an OBE and was a real privilege to be presented with it by the King himself at the Investiture at Windsor Castle yesterday. Whilst it’s nice to be recognised publicly, knowing that I have made a real difference to people, and that no-one else can live through the leasehold nightmare that I personally experienced, gives me the most immense sense of achievement.’
